The novel channels a classic action-adventure and coming-of-age vibe, but remains grounded in present-day teen protagonists. Fans of Michael Vey, The Maze Runner, or Netflix’s Stranger Things will appreciate this tightly knit paranormal tale with dashes of whimsy and nostalgia.
